A few Peruvians established a project called ‘Bio Plant’. Bio Plant has one and only objective and that is saving the planet. This small group of Peruvians is thinking to do that by reducing usage of plastic.

As soon as humans are done with the banana leaf plates, they will start to decompose within just 60 days and will be dissolved entirely in natural ways over 2 months

However, this isn’t the only innovation project from Peru. Chuwa Plant group produced paper plates and cardboard which were for single use, disposable and could contain different dishes. The banana leaf plates are shaped as rectangular, with dimensions of 22 cm x 16 cm x 3 cm. Also, they are certainly not oncogenic, since they are completely organic. 100 banana plates are being sold for US$ 29.64-35.56 in the country. Perhaps, time can lower the prices.
