What This Firefighter Did For These Terrified Donkeys Will Bring You To Your Tears

This story took place when Sacramento Fire Chief Gary Loesch was driving down the road through Paradise, California along with Chris Harvey, a local firefighter.

They were making their way through the area after a very bad wildfire that had destroyed cars and homes throughout the community. Many people and animals also lost their lives during the Camp Fire.

The two men were in the area to investigate an accident that had taken place. Eventually, they noticed two animals struggling to get out of the smoke. These were two donkeys that got lost and they were in need of immediate help to survive. The animals were incredibly tired and thirsty, so Chris tried to give them water.

Since the donkeys clearly needed more than just water, the men also decided to give the apples in their lunch bags to them. Chris realized that the donkeys started to trust them after that, and the firefighters contacted the base camp.

Even though they could have just driven away and ignored the animals, Chris and Gary wanted to help these poor donkeys and provided them with safety until the animal control officers arrived.

It's always nice to read stories like these especially when the entire world is going through difficult times. We are glad we have nice people in the world we are living in.
