Vintage Vehicles Made of Rocks

It is a high probability that we encounter some old trucks and cars left out in the greenery anywhere we go. In time, nature starts to swallow them. A guy named Chris Miller was a fan of the appearance of these vintage vehicles and he decided to make his own version.

He lives in Vermont and started to do this building up operations in a Kickstarter campaign in 2012, trying to find funds for his projects. Then, in his hometown, he started to build cars and trucks out of rocks and place them by the roadside as sculptures.

What inspired Miller was a Volkswagen beetle made out of stones in 1976, New York. He raised about $3,100 for his rock vintage car and truck project. Stone art lovers showed great interest and helped him.

Miller’s stone vehicle idea took 5 weeks of his time. In the building process, he used real tires for cars. For the bumper, he picked long stones and for the windows, he used large slabs. As for the back window of the truck, he placed a stone and has written 85 names from the Kickstarter that helped him bring the project to life.
