Translucent Skeleton Flowers
Skeleton flowers are plants that have idiosyncratic appearances. When the weather is rainy, these special blossoms turn their petals into a fascinating shape.
In botany, it is known as “Diphylleia grayi” which is a very rarely seen blossom around the world. It can only be encountered in mountains of China, Japan and Appalachian.
When it contacts with water, it creates a loose cell structure resembling a white flower. Then, the rain flows through those cells and turns the flower into a unique, crystal color.
However, this look doesn’t last forever. After the rain and humidity is gone, as soon as the petals are dry, they become white again.
This is such a fascinating thing to witness and, due to digital technologies, someone was able to record the whole process and create a video showing it.
