The Magnificent Karst Mountains And Beautiful Paddy Fields Of Tam Coc, Vietnam

Tam Coc can be found approximately 90 km from the city of Ninh Binh and is thought to be one of Vietnam's most eye-catching sights. The literal translation of Tam Coc means "three caves", and those three caves are Hang Ca (the first), Hang Giua (the second), and Hang Cuoi (the smallest).

To visit beautiful Tam Coc, you need to take a three-hour boat ride along the twists and turns of the Ngo Dong river starting at the village of Van Lam and going through a picturesque landscape dominated by rice fields and when at its finest, they are bright green with yellow, that extends from the water's edge to the foot of the rock formations.

When you take this trip you also get the chance to go through all three natural caves, the biggest of which is 125 meters long with its ceiling roughly 2 meters high above the water.

You usually find one or two local women in the boats to row them and they also carry embroidered goods to sell. The place is truly spectacular and very peaceful but sometimes the peaceful environment can get harmed due to pushy vendors.
