The Little Penguin, Dindim, Shows An Example Of Loyalty Every Year

It was 2011 when elderly fisherman Joao Pereira de Souza found a dying South American Magellanic penguin, covered in oil, on a beach off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

The fisherman brought the Penguin home, saved it from death, and released it back to life.

Since then, this penguin, which he calls Dindim, has been swimming to the fisherman every year, leaving its habitat, which is about 8,000 km away.

Thereby they spend eight months together. The fisherman and the penguin love each other very much.

Dindim allows the fisherman to feed, wash, hug him, and almost thinks that the fisherman is part of his family. Biologist Krajewski says he has never encountered anything like this before.
