Eurasian Bullfinch with Peach Colored Feathers

It has a rare color in nature except for peach colored flowers. The Eurasian Bullfinch looks very eye-catching with its peach-colored feathers on its chest.

Although it is often described as "red breast" or "pink breast" in the literature, peach color is the color that best describes it.

Common in Europe and Asia, these birds prefer dense vegetation and are highly shy.

They do not migrate much but travel south from their breeding grounds in search of food during the colder months.

The females of these birds, whose males are brightly colored, are pinkish beige.

They just fluff their feathers to keep warm.

They are the only members of the finch family that have "food pouches". The pouch is at the bottom of their mouth and they use it to bring food to their offspring.
