David Gilmour Auctions Off 126 Guitars
Legendary Pink Floyd guitarist and songwriter David Gilmour auctioned off 126 of his guitars at Christie’s, and from that auction, he earned 21 million dollars. The most noticeable guitar that came to the auctioneer’s attention was the iconic black Stratocaster, and it was sold for $4 million.
Gilmour regards the global climate changes as the greatest challenge that humanity will ever face. Moreover, he thinks that we are going to realize the effects of global warming being irreversible in the following years. Therefore, after the auction, the English rock star stated that he will be donating every penny of the sales to environmental non-profit corporation ClientEarth.
