A Very Special, Stunning ‘Rainbow Halo’ Seems To Be Opening A Gate To The Other Side

This mountain-top halo might be the most magical scenery resembling a rainbow that I’ve ever seen. Imagine that you’re a hiker, and you’re on a mountain. All of a sudden, there appears to be a portal or a gate to another dimension on earth, what would your reaction be? That’s what happened to Adrian Conchie, who is 39-year old. Let’s see what he has done.

Also named as mountain spectre or Brocken bow is the huge shadow of the observer over clouds in the opposite direction of the Sun. Usually, the head of the figure is covered by the halo-like coloured lights which forms a glory, which shows up in the opposite direction of the Sun when equally sized water drops in the cloud refract sunlight and scatter it back.

Conchie was over a fell in the Lake District, he suddenly looked down and spotted the fascinating appearance called as the Brocken spectre. This spectacular thing might be seen on an aeroplane or on a foggy mountain or cloud bank. Conchle used the words “magical” and “certainly incredible” to describe this appearance of nature. When he spotted the Brocken spectre, he was 11-mile walk away in Swirl How, which is close to Coniston.

Conchie said that, after hearing about it and seeing photographs of this incident on the internet, he’s always desired to experience one. And later, when he arrived the summit and threw a glance at down, there he could see one. He was afraid that it would disappear in a short time, but it didn’t. That magical, vivid scenery lasted for a few minutes. Moreover, that wasn’t going to be the last Brocken spectre that they would see the very same day! Same day, Conchie and his friend encountered another halo of rainbow near a mountain named Wetherlam

Since Conchie isn’t the only one to see such an amazing natural phenomenon, it must have been the time for these spectres to reveal. Two weeks before Conchie, on New Year’s Day, a guy named Rhys Pleming was on Snowdon, in Wales and he encountered a Brocken spectre. Pleming said that people were passing through it without knowing what they’ve seen when he was staring at it. Pleming says that he wasn’t even planning on climbing that day as he was drinking to celebrate new years. He also adds that he feels gratitude to his friend Dale who convinced him to go there.
